The Dadish series is one which is a frequent favourite behind the scenes here at Pocket Gamer Towers. And for good reason, as indie developer Thomas K. Young has crafted a series of fantastic throwbacks to the golden age of platformers. Now, they're taking a detour with a brand-new main character, and a rad new style with Dunkadillo!
It's not hard to imagine this bizarre mix of platformer and sports sim(?) being ripped straight from an alternate-universe 90s. Dunkadillo sees the titular Dill the armadillo attempting to rescue his friend Pickle. How? By transforming into a basketball, of course!
It's up to Dill to bounce and ricochet around 50 expansive stages, as he dodges all manner of nasty enemies. Along the way, you'll unlock rare trading cards to unlock up to 10 additional characters, while five bosses wait to try and stymie Dill's progress.

Naturally, Dunkadillo also features a suite of additional neat features. A full, funky soundtrack, controller support and the same enticing, colourful graphics you probably recognise from the Dadish 3D series. The funky, bouncing action itself offers plenty of ways to use the abilities of both Dill and the various other types of armadillos you can unlock.Right now, there's not much info about when Dunkadillo will arrive, other than that it definitely will for mobile. But by the looks of things, this contains exactly the same quality we've come to expect from Young, and doubtless there's plenty of you already chomping at the bit to get your hands on it.
