Delta Force's Fortune Run event has you recovering real-life relics

• Exfiltrate with them for rewards, or just check in for various additional rewards

While it may not have necessarily satisfied all fans of the series, Delta Force looks like a worthy new entry into the multiplayer tactical shooter genre. And if nothing else, it's getting a great degree of support even now, including the latest event, Fortune Run, ongoing until August 28th!

The crux of Fortune Run is actually quite an interesting one, as it sees you and other players competing over digitised versions of real-life Qing dynasty artefacts. And these genuinely intricately detailed recreations of such artefacts aren't just set-dressing either, as you'll need to both find and exfiltrate with them to gain some exciting rewards.

Yes, as you might expect, that means everyone else will be gunning for you. But even if you're not willing to join the all-out melee searching for these artefacts, there's still plenty to enjoy in the Fortune Run event.

One of the most interesting rewards available is the latest legendary weapon appearance bundle. Featuring names such as Morning Blossom and Fine China, it lets you theme your weapons after some of the artefacts shown in this event.

Now, I can't be the only one who's just a little bit amused by this event. On the one hand, it does a lot to highlight real-world archaeology. But on the other, it does have us committing what almost amounts to a war crime by looting cultural artefacts.
