Dave the Diver's DLC will be available right off the boat from mobile launch

While its status as an indie is certainly controversial, what isn't in question is how fun and engaging Dave the Diver is. It's little surprise then that we've been watching its upcoming mobile launch so closely. And there's even more good news ahead of Dave the Diver's September 17th launch for iOS and Android!

Dave the Diver's mobile launch will have both fan-favourite and newly released DLC available to purchase from the get-go, ranging from the Dredge crossover content pack to the latest expansion, In The Jungle, which takes Dave on a brand-new adventure on land and in the rivers of a jungle biome.

While it's a shame we don't get any of these for free, it does demonstrate that Dave the Diver's mobile launch is getting plenty of care. And that's not surprising considering that its initial release in China for mobile drew in around half a million sales.

The upcoming mobile release is also confirmed to have plenty of interesting quality-of-life features too. Tea-pouring in Bancho's sushi restaurant, a core part of the game, is done using your phone's gyroscope, while visiting certain areas allows you to fast-travel to NPCs, and a three-level viewing feature lets you adjust the perspective to your liking.

It won't surprise you to learn that I do quite enjoy Dave the Diver, and I'm doubly intrigued to see how well it does on mobile. With pre-registration now open for both iOS and Android, you can dive in and get ready to have a go at Dave the Diver for yourself this September!
