Candy Crush Saga developers King join the #PlayApartTogether campaign, offering unlimited lives in 7 of their games

King, the folks behind the ever-popular series of Candy Crush, has announced that they too will be joining the #PlayApartTogether campaign. This endeavour aims to encourage social distancing by providing players with events or extra in-game items to keep them occupied and therefore hopefully less tempted to wander outside.

King's involvement in the campaign is very straightforward but will undoubtedly be wonderful news to the millions of fans of their games. From today until April 5th players will be able to unlock unlimited lives each day for free across their roster of games. The titles included in this are:

  • Candy Crush Saga
  • Candy Crush Soda Saga
  • Candy Crush Jelly Saga
  • Candy Crush Friends Saga
  • Farm Heroes Saga
  • Bubble Witch 3 Saga
  • Pet Rescue Saga

That should allow players to make some serious progress in these King games without having to wait until they get more free lives. Beyond that, it also removes the need to spend any real-life money on purchasing them too, which is also nice.

King join other big-name mobile companies that have already pledged to take part in the #PlayApartTogether campaign. This includes the likes of Kabam, Zynga, Jam City, Glu and Playtika who are all bringing a variety of in-game giveaways and events.

Naturally, they'll all have their own approaches to the campaign. So if you have a particular penchant for those publishers, it's best to keep an eye on their social media accounts to see what their specific plans are and which of their games will be included.

Candy Crush Saga and the other games on the above list are available now on the App Store and Google Play. They're all free-to-play game with in-app purchases.
