Blue Archive releases new update, Secret Midnight Party: The Chimes of Tag
  • Blue Archive has released a new update with Secret Midnight Party: The Chimes of Tag
  • It features two new playable characters, Yuuka (Pajamas) and Noa (Pajamas)
  • There's also a live dev panel set to come to Anime Expo 2025

Nexon's hit strategy RPG Blue Archive has just released its latest update, Secret Midnight Party: The Chimes of Tag. Seeing two playable characters arrive, it also features a brand-new story featuring the members of the Millennium Science School, and plenty of rewards for completing it!

While there's not much revealed in the way of what to expect with The Chimes of Tag, as you'd expect from the nighttime themeing, there are new characters perfectly suited for late-night excursions. These are Yuuka (Pajamas) and Noa (Pajamas), and despite the name, both boast brand-new abilities that, although not too versatile, certainly make these more than a joke.

It's not just in-game additions to look forward to either, as the folks behind Blue Archive will also make an appearance at Anime Expo 2025! Fans will be able to join the developers as they deliver update previews, some tantalising behind-the-scenes glimpses and other insights.

There's a lot more to look forward to for attendees, with various events also being prepared for fans. Those not able to make it in person can also check out a raft of content available to view online via their official YouTube channel. It promises to be a tantalising event for fans and even newcomers who want to find out what the fuss is about.

Blue Archive isn't the only mobile release making an appearance at Anime Expo either. Goddess of Victory: Nikke, which recently announced its hotly anticipated crossover with Stellar Blade, is also set to arrive with an exclusive merch stand.

Certainly, it may not be recent, but anime-inspired releases have proven to be massively popular on mobile. And if you're interested in seeing what else this humble medium has to offer, why not check out our own dedicated list of the top 15 anime-based mobile games to explore?
