We all love shiny and fast cars, but what's even better is driving one of them. Of course, most of us don't have a Ferrari F40 or a Lamborghini Centenario waiting in the driveway, so the next best thing is to try them out in a game. That's what we're doing in Asphalt Legends Unite, and without even having to consider the fuel consumption (thank God). We're going to take a look at our Asphalt Legends Unite guide, where I've shared all the tips you need to rank higher and grind away... in happiness hopefully.

So, what do you need to know about this Asphalt Legends Unite guide?

In short, these tips should come in handy if you're a new player, because they will explain everything there is to know - from performing stunts to ranking higher in your matches. You will also get a shortlist of a few cars you could aim to build at the start, just in case you're unsure which ones to go for.

Is the game F2P friendly?

As someone who has only spent money on the battle pass occasionally, I can say that Asphalt Legends Unite is a F2P-friendly game if you are willing to put in a bit of time.

If you want to spend money, the best option is buying the battle pass. It gives you a lot of blueprints, currency, and packs, and it's going to give you the best bang for your buck. Of course, you can also go for the free pass, which gives you significantly less, but if you're playing to stay F2P, that's the only option anyway.

We have the latest Asphalt Legends Unite codes too, so don't forget to claim them!
So, if you're ready to pack your Nitro and hit that gas pedal, let's dive into the Asphalt Legends Unite guide!

Tip #1 - Learn all the do's and don'ts

To kick off this Asphalt Legends Unite guide, you need to know all the things you should do and all the things you should avoid.

First off, let me walk you through the things you should do whenever you race:

  • Try scoring as many points as you can.
  • Perform a lot of stunts to score more points (360, knockdown, barrel roll).
  • Destroy as many obstacles as you can without going off-track.
  • Pick up all the boosts on your way.
  • Position yourself in such a way so you can easily take the turns.
  • Use the ramps.
  • Use the Nitro boost whenever you are on a straight patch of track.
  • (Quite obviously) Try to get first place every single time.

Of course, there are many more things you should be doing, but these are a handful of tips that you need to pay attention to every time.

Now, you should avoid doing these things:

  • Brake to a halt every turn.
  • Use your Nitro during a turn.
  • Smash your car when taking wide turns.
  • Get disheartened by seeing other players pass you by.

I've lost my fair share of races by simply looking at all the other players drive past, and thinking I couldn't even finish the race. That's the wrong way of thinking about it. You can easily pass others by sticking to the main objective, which is passing the Finish line. Just focus on that, and use the tips I've shared at the first point to try and always get ahead of the competition.

Tip #2 - Don't waste your Tokens!

asphalt legends unite daily quests

The #1 thing you want to avoid doing in Asphalt Legends Unite is to waste those Tokens. Don't spend them on packs! Don't even think about spending them on packs, because the rates to get that car you dream of are incredibly low, and in all honesty, it's not worth it. You will need a lot of time to save up Tokens (and complete a lot of tasks in the process), so try saving them as much as possible.

I'd argue that a pack here or there is not that big of a waste, but try to not overdo it. It's quite difficult to get them, even if you play daily, and if you want to save up for a bigger buy later on, you need to avoid spending them entirely.

Don't spend them on Credits either

Spending your Tokens on Credits is even worse. I would strongly advise against doing this, because you can get plenty of Credits by doing your dailies, playing every day, and watching ads. As a F2P player, you should be doing all of these anyway if you plan on playing the long game.

Only buy packs that guarantee you blueprints

If you decide to spend your Tokens on packs, you should at least do it right. Don't buy single packs. Instead, go for 10x packs that will give you a guaranteed blueprint. This will cost more, but the return is also much better.

Tip #3 - Play the events whenever you can

challenges or achievements in asphalt legends unite

If you see an active event in the game, you should try completing as many of the tasks from it as possible. They will give you amazing rewards, and more often than not, you will be able to make some neat upgrades with these rewards.

Events are time-limited, so if you don't think you can complete all the tasks from an event, but you can still get a decent number of tasks done, then you should do it regardless. If you can't complete it and it would cost you quite a lot to get a specific car for the event, then just skip it entirely.

Tip #4 - Patience is key

Rome wasn't built in a day - the same lesson applies in this game, more or less. You won't have your ultimate dream car from the very start, so you will need to play with whatever you have access to. Try to play using your best car and even if you don't have the best one yet, try playing a couple of races to see what the other players are using.

Then, take all that knowledge and make a plan for what car you want to aim for next. Keep in mind that you need to be quite realistic in your approach because the chances of getting the Venom F5 right from the beginning are... quite non-existent.

In the beginning, try getting and using a DS E-Tense as your main car. Then, you should try getting a Viper ACR as your main car, before moving on to the Corvette GS. All of this will require quite a bit of a grind, but this tip has helped me immensely (I read this tip somewhere time ago, and I'm sharing it now here).

Tip #5 - Go for Car Hunt!

Car Hunt is going to be your best friend if you plan on maxing a car. You should try to invest as much time as you can in this because it could give you a lot of blueprints. It will also take a lot of time, but it is worth it.

The best way to do this is to decide how many blueprints you will need, and then start grinding. Car Hunt can leave you grinding for hours, so if you don't want to overdo it, you can just decide you want to go for X blueprints in one day, and then X in the next. Or, you can try going full ham and grind away the entire day.

Regardless of how long you want to play, it will help improve your skill too, so it's not a complete waste. You should also watch ads to refill your tickets.

Tip #6 - Start training in manual

To put things in perspective, TouchDrive is similar to "automatic" in terms of cars, while manual is... manual. When you first start playing you will most likely select TouchDrive, since it's the easiest of the two.

Well, you will soon learn that it's not as simple as it seems. You will need to time your controls really well, and you will also mess up a few times. That's okay.

I recommend you start off with TouchDrive, understand how it works and what it helps with, and once you're really comfortable with it, you should move on to manual. It's a lot harder to master, so the sooner you start getting used to it, the better. When I say that it's hard, it's hard. You need to be extremely precise in your manoeuvring, so it's really crucial that you spend a lot of time doing it. I know it will be frustrating at first, but bear with me, once you get a hold of it, you will start winning more races against people who are only using TouchDrive.

Tip #7 - Let's talk multiplayer...

back of blood orange corvette

Last but not least, we have the coveted multiplayer mode. If you've played League of Legends before (to use it as a term of comparison), whenever you're starting a race, you will be queued up against people of a similar "MMR". The problem is, if you're griefing, you're placed in a worse queue. If you're good, then you've got nothing to worry about. Correct?

So, what can you do?

If you start losing game after game, then you should stop playing multiplayer for a bit. It's mainly because of what I said before. Just like in League of Legends, there are seasons, and everyone wants to try it out as soon as a new season is out.

I recommend you try to keep your cool and avoid playing multiplayer the second a new season is out. The queue is a mess, and you might end up being matched with some top-skilled player, and they'll smoke you. That is, if you're not one of the top players - if you are, then I don't know why you're reading this since you know how it works!

Finally, just save a bit of Nitro for the finish line. You've probably seen other players do this quite often, and working out in their favour. You should do it as well.

That's the complete guide for Asphalt Legends Unite, with every tip we can give you. Of course, there are others like Frostpunk Beyond the Ice guide and a Last War Survival Game guide. Be adventurous and look around, we have plenty of similar helpful content for you!
