Ash of Gods: The Way is a new deckbuilding follow-up to Ash of Gods: Redemption
Deckbuilding action to supplement RPG storytelling

- Ash of Gods: The Way is a new follow-up to Ash of Gods: Redemption
- It brings in new mechanics like deckbuilding and more
- But most importantly, it builds on the previous dark fantasy influences of the original
If you happened to try out Ash of Gods: Redemption, the dark, story-driven tactical RPG that hit mobile earlier this year, then you'll be pleasantly surprised to learn that the sequel has also hit storefronts! Ash of Gods: The Way is a bit of a departure from the series thus far, but if you liked the choice-driven narrative and action of the original, this is sure to satisfy, so let's dig in!
As noted above, Ash of Gods: The Way is very similar to its predecessor. That includes the dark narrative, choice-driven storytelling and tactical RPG combat. But the one way it seems to differ is in the introduction of a deck-building element, which might put some longtime fans off or draw in newcomers depending on your opinion.
Aside from that, everything we covered from the original Ash of Gods seems to be as true here. We haven't yet had the chance to get hands-on with The Way, but you can check out the launch trailer below to get a further glimpse of the game!

I think it's interesting to see Ash of Gods: The Way develop on the RPG format by adding in the deck-building mechanic. Obviously, there were a lot of comparisons to fellow story-driven choice-based game The Banner Saga when it was initially released, but hopefully, it's not just change for the sake of being different. But if you want to find out for yourself, you can find Ash of Gods: The Way on Google Play today!
