We're back to Season 1 for the New Year

Call of Duty Mobile's latest Season, New Order, commences later today, introducing new maps, game modes, weapons and more

A New Year means starting over from Season 1 in Call of Duty Mobile. The first of 2021 is appropriately called New Order and will see the addition of new maps, game modes, weapons and of course, a bunch of new Battle Pass content.

New Order is set to go live in the game at 4 pm PT today and will bring with it a whole new Battle Pass. This will include 50 tiers of free and Premium rewards that will include a mixture of characters, new weapons, Blueprints, charms, and more.

It will also see the addition of an original map called Reclaim. Christmas may be over but the festive season lives on in this map, kind of. It takes places in the remains of a dilapidated shopping complex where players can engage in gunfights through boutique stores.

Meanwhile, there will be new game modes called 3v3 Gunfight and 20-Player Attack of the Undead. These are both expanded versions of existing game variants that will hopefully bring a greater sense of action to them. On the flip side, there's a new Battle Royale Mode called Blitz, which features 40 players in a faster-paced match that lasts a little over ten minutes.

Finally, there will be an event later in the new Season called The Fight for Humanity. Here you'll need to choose between the Atlas or Cordis faction before completing a series of tasks to win territories. There will be various milestone and leaderboard prizes on offer for those who perform well. For all the details on the new season, head over to the game's official website.

Call of Duty Mobile is available now over on the App Store and Google Play. It's a free-to-play game with in-app purchases.
