World Championship Pool 2009 goes iPhone
Cue the iPhone adaptation

I-play's put together more than its share of pool and snooker games for the mobile platform, and now it's apparently branching out into App Store territory with an adaptation of World Championship Pool 2009 for the iPhone.
The mobile versions have always attempted to bring the cue and balls sport into the 3D realm, which should be considerably easier with the iPhone's large screen and cool graphics processing. The touchscreen handles all the controls, naturally, from rotating the table to selecting the ball to aim at and operating the cue.
Dragging your pool stick backwards sets the power, and releasing it sends off the shot. You can also pinch and pull to zoom in and out, which ought to make navigating the table that much easier.
With pass-to-play multiplayer, three game variations (9-ball, US 8-ball and UK 8-ball) and a replay system so you can watch all your best shots again, World Championship Pool 2009 on the iPhone looks like a pretty decent port.
Hit the 'Buy It!' button to be whisked off to the App Store to take a look at it, and make sure you pot one in the 'Track It!' pocket for more World Championship Pool 2009 coverage as we get it.
