Kuato Studios has announced that its educational mobile game Well-Beings: Wellness for Kids is officially getting a Nintendo Switch version today, letting children learn while having fun on the go. The charming app aims to gamify wellness for primary school children, with the Switch edition made in partnership with children’s charity Starlight.

In Well-Beings: Wellness for Kids, children are offered various motivational activities that not only help them understand their emotions, but also give them the tools to articulate them properly. The Switch version of the game has teamed up with Starlight to offer support to children in hospitals in the UK through engaging and varied play (more than a hundred in-game activities are available to tinker around with). Of course, 100% of the proceeds from the Switch version of the game will be donated to the charity.

"The past two years have been particularly difficult for young children for whom several lockdowns have meant major disruption to their education, as well as isolation from their friends and family. However, the pandemic has been even harder on the thousands of children in hospital. An illness can be incredibly isolating for children and long periods spent in hospital when diagnosed young can significantly disrupt their emotional growth," says Mark Horneff, CEO at Kuato Studios.

"We are proud to be chosen as Kuato Studios’ charity partner for Well-Beings: Wellness for Kids game, a company which is so aligned with what the charity is here to do to improve children’s wellbeing through play. Money raised through the proceeds of the game will help to ensure that Starlight can continue to provide the time, space and opportunities for vital play in hospitals for seriously ill children. Thank you so much to Kuato Studios for choosing Starlight and helping us to protect play when we need to the most," says Sarah Woods, Director of Fundraising and Communications at Starlight.

Well-Beings: Wellness for Kids is available to download on the Google Play Store for Android devices and on the iOS App Store, as well as on the Nintendo eShop. You can also have a look at the embedded trailer above to get a feel of the gameplay.
