Valhalla Survival gets major summer update with Chapter seven, Niflheim
I'm sure the swimsuits aren't historically accurate

- Valhalla Survival jumps into summer with its July update
- The new Abyss difficulty debuts, with Mythic equipment to uncover
- There's also the debut of the Lightning Chain skill and weekly guild mission system
With summer in full swing, we're still getting many top releases coming in late with their new seasonal events and celebrations. And it's even the case with Lionheart Studios' Valhalla Survival as they debut chapter seven, Niflheim, and a host of new changes to give fans plenty to do this summer!
Despite being a summer update, there's not too much in the way of bikinis and beaches here as you're taken to the realm of Niflheim, a mist-haunted realm of ice and cold that's as far from the Riviera as you can get.
It's not just the general atmosphere that's threatening either, as you'll also have the new Abyss difficulty to contend with. Even harder than Nightmare mode, it'll challenge those who have completed stage 30, chapter three of that existing difficulty. But the rewards are also greater, as you'll find materials to craft ultra-powerful Mythic equipment.

Icey hot
While it may be ironic to take the action to a realm known for cold and mist rather than sun or heat, there's plenty in this update to play on a sandy beach somewhere. For example, the new skill Lightning Chain lets you unleash a linked attack that combines electric orbs and beams, hindering enemy movement on top of massive damage. One of the most anticipated additions, the common skill, Lightning Chain, is now live. This skill unleashes a linked attack combining electric orbs and beams — monsters hit by the orbs or caught in the beams take immediate damage and have their movement hindered.
Then there's the new weekly guild mission system with rewards including items and the Tome of Fortune, all of which let you enhance active and passive skills during gameplay. Speaking of which, there's also the Skill Enhancement System, perfect for upgrading owned skills acquired via Nightmare stages or exploration.
