Best classes in Tree of Savior: NEO

In today's guide, we will take a look at and pick the best classes in Tree of Savior: NEO.
When talking about the best in this type of game, I actually mean the best choice for each style of play. Some people enjoy a more supportive role, like a tank or a healer, while others prefer to be the main damage dealers (be that from afar or up close). Regardless of how you like to play, this guide will help give you some idea about the class you should be picking.
The best class in Tree of Savior: NEO is relative
Saying a class is "good" while another one is "bad" isn't exactly accurate. In the right hands, any can be top-tier. It all comes down to individual skill, so think about what you actually like to play and what you think you could be good at. If you figure that out, picking the ideal class for you is halfway done. Then, you should really think about what your experience is with this genre. If you're a beginner, then sticking to a class that isn't too difficult to use is the better option until you're more familiar with everything.

All classes in Tree of Savior: NEO
These are all the classes you can pick from when creating your character:- Guard (tank)
- Mage (ranged magic DPS)
- Healer (support/healing)
- Gunslinger (summon/ranged physical DPS)
- Hunter (melee physical DPS)
Let's take a closer look at what each of the classes offers and which one is best, depending on what you would like to accomplish!
1
The best tank class

Guard
The Guard is the only class that is considered a dedicated tank in Tree of Savior: NEO. It has above-average DEF, and the highest survival rating when looking at the chart. It's easy to play, so I would strongly recommend it for beginners. The only drawback is that it is melee, so positioning is key, and having a healing when you do dungeons with other players will also help quite a bit.
Stats:
- Damage: 3/5
- Mobility: 3/5
- Healing: 0/5
- Control: 5/5
- Survival: 5/5
- Easy to play: 3/5
At level 58, it will be promoted to Blademaster.
2
The best support class

Healer
The Healer offers AoE and single-target healing, but can also deal damage. It is one of the "mandatory" classes you need to have on your team if you do a party dungeon or anything multiplayer. In terms of how easy it is to play, it's fairly simple at the start. However, there can be a huge difference between an average healer and someone who actually knows when to use the skills, when to use the damage skills, and when to save the AoE healing to keep the entire team alive.
It's not as easy playing a healer, but if you want to learn how to do it right, starting off with this class might not be such a bad idea. Just adjust your expectations, since you won't be the one dealing the most damage to the enemy boss in party instances.
Stats:
- Damage: 3/5
- Mobility: 3/5
- Healing: 5/5
- Control: 2/5
- Survival: 3/5
- Easy to play: 3/5
At level 58, it will be promoted to Soulflutter.
3
The best DPS class

Hunter
The Hunter is a personal favourite of mine, but it is not an easy one to get accustomed to. As a Hunter, you will have to pay close attention to your surroundings because survivability is not your strong suit.It is not to play, so if you are just trying to spam your skills in a random order, that won't get you too far, but once you get the hang of it, it's one of the best DPS classes in Tree of Savior. You need to think of the Hunter as a glass cannon. You go in, deal your damage, and then watch your HP bar until you can pull another combo.
Since it's a melee class and one without as much DEF as the Guard, you can easily die one-shot, unless you know how to time your Shadow Flash. I don't recommend it for beginners, but if you don't mind taking some extra time to get used to it, it will be super rewarding.
Stats:
- Damage: 5/5
- Mobility: 5/5
- Healing: 0/5
- Control: 3/5
- Survival: 2/5
- Easy to play: 2/5
At level 58, it will be promoted to Shadowblade.
