Polarbit releases online iPhone shooter ToonWarz
Also comes with single and local multiplayer modes
It's obviously the week for multiplayer.
Gameloft has just released the multiplayer update for Modern Combat Sandstorm, ngmoco has released the v1.1 update for its online first person shooter Eliminate, and Polarbit has released ToonWarz.
It's a cartoon-styled FPS with both single player and multiplayer modes (local wi-fi and online), in which you take the role of a commando, fighting against hordes of vicious enemies thanks to your arsenal of shotguns, flame-throwers, bazookas etc.
But of course.
"We've always striven to provide an accessible, great-looking and smooth gameplay experience that appeals to casual gamers as well as die-hard FPS fans," says Janne Korpela, co-founder of Polarbit and ToonWarz's lead developer.
"Multiplayer deathmatches over the internet and local Wwi-fi are features that we're tremendously exited about,. We really look forward to getting players from all over the world in our digital crosshairs real soon."
Polarbit has plenty of experience when it comes to online iPhone gaming too. It developed Krazy Kart Racing - which had an online mode - for Konami.
As for ToonWarz , Polarbit has released some fairly shakycam footage of it in action. Don't get motion sickness folks.
