Interactive Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy app coming to iPhone and iPad 'soon'

We told you back in May that the classic sci-fi novel The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy was set to be once again immortalised in digital form, but we couldn't tell you which platforms it'd be heading to.

Thanks to the press release we've just received, we can confirm that the app will be gracing Apple's iPhone and iPad.

The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy app is purportedly an "authentic experience", that will make you feel like you're holding the device Douglas Adams described over 30 years ago.

The app will teach you the importance of towels, vogons, Milliways, the Babel Fish, a Pan Galactic Gargle Blaster, how to survive in space, and more.

Speaking on the upcoming app, Hothead Games producer Joel DeYoung said, “We have so much respect for the original that we had to stay true to the style of Douglas Adams, and deliver an app that feels familiar to fans, but updated for today’s devices.”

You can expect to see it in the App Store "soon".
