Spongebob Solitairepants releases onto Apple Arcade

This week’s new Apple Arcade release - alongside some updates to Air Twister and Jetpack Joyide 2 as well - is Spongebob Solitairepants, which is pretty much exactly what it sounds like. This is a simple solitaire simulation game that features the aesthetics and characters of the legendary cartoon series Spongebob. While this sounds simple, Spongebob Solitairepants actually comes with a pretty hefty suite of neat features for what is at its core a solitaire app.

To begin with, Spongebob Solitairepants features multiplayer battles for one. This is a pretty unique feature for a solitaire game, as solitaire is usually considered a solo card game. Solitairepants will instead allow you to go head to head against a random player or a friend and attempt to beat the other in both speed and wits.

Throw this in with the solo quest mode, which acts as somewhat of a story mode, and this one is elevated beyond just a card game app. This mode will allow you to go through round after round of solitaire that gets progressively more difficult and even throws in some unique modifiers to trick you up and mix up the usual formula.

And finally, we’ve even got the other classic mode, which is solitaire as you know and love. It's a simple card game that works exactly as it always has, without all those modifiers and other bells and whistles.

Spongebob Solitairepants also includes daily competitions too, if you’re looking to even further show off your solitaire skills and climb leaderboards to make a name for yourself. So, whether you're a fan of the cartoon itself or just a lover of one of the most classic card games of all time, this is the game for you.

If you’d like to download it, you can do so for free at the link below as long as you’re an Apple Arcade subscriber!
