Spartacus: Blood and Sand game free to first 10,000 iPhone downloaders

To celebrate the debut of bloody TV show Spartacus: Blood and Sand on Bravo, developer Artificial Life is giving away the first 10,000 copies of the show's iPhone spin off game. Once gamers have rinsed iTunes of free copies, the game will shoot back up to its £1.79 price.

It looks like a rather spiffy 3D brawler, so get in quick. You can customise your fighting experience, use weapons to slay enemies, and even go head to head with mates over wi-fi or Bluetooth.

The TV show Spartacus: Blood and Sand is pretty much the wet dream of some 12-year-old who watched 300 and thought it was the zenith of human accomplishment. It's got more gore, guts, and nudity (both gentlemen bits and nudey lady things) than it has green screens. And it's got a lot of green screens.

Head over to iTunes now to grab the game while it's still free.
