SNK: Generations of Fighting, a brand new King of Fighters mobile game, launches into specific regions

SuperNova Game has announced that their mobile adaptation of the popular fighting game series The King of Fighters, titled The King of Fighters: Generations of Fighting, has hit a few different regions with a full launch. These regions are Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau, Singapore, and Malaysia. This character collection gacha-based game sees you managing a team of different fighters from the series in semi-idle battles as you attempt to become the titular King of Fighters!

This is not KoF’s first rodeo on the mobile game adaptation train, as we have releases such as KOF: Allstar that have done a similar thing to Generations of Fighting. This time, however, rather than a beat-em-up style of gameplay, the game takes on an idle style of combat within each stage, taking a bit more of a hands-off approach.

Combat is mostly automated, but you’ll still make a few vital choices to determine the outcome such as character placement and the timing of each skill usage from your team members. Placement takes a high priority, as you’ll have to stuff your heavy hitters on the front to take care of your less healthy backline and the like. It’s a fairly common approach to idle combat, but it’s still a treat to see all your favourite KoF fighters throwing out their awesome skills left and right.

Currently, Generations of Fighting is only available in traditional Chinese, with no word on a potential global client on the horizon. For now, we’ll just have to cross our fingers, as the game does truly look fantastic and includes basically the entire cast from the entire franchise too!

In the meantime, if you’re located in the regions mentioned above, you can download Generations of Fighting for free at either of the links below!
