Sega practices its poker face with the announcement of SEGA Casino
With poker taking off across the world as a hobby as well as a profession, games companies haven’t been slow to get in on the action. Whether the DS is the most obvious platform for card-sharking and dice-rolling is another question however, but it’s one Sega is keen to prove with its SEGA Casino - a set of games sure to use the touchscreen and stylus combination to the max.
Featuring a total of 11 games (six of which have to be unlocked), you’ll start out on the roulette wheel, playing the dice game craps and card game baccarat.
There are three options to play. Free mode where you unlock the games and play against computer-controlled characters, Wireless mode, where you can play with up to four friends in rounds of Black Jack, Texas Hold 'em, and 7 Card Poker, and the Casino Mode, where you can attempt to turn $1,000 into millions by winning tournaments.
In terms of unlockable casino games, you’ll get access to Chuck-a-Luck, Keno, and three types of poker - Jacks or Better, Double Bonus and Deuces Wild. And finally, if you can turn your big-spending in success, you’ll be able to unlock higher-limit casino rooms for even more card-sharking action.
