You may associate 'doing the robot' with stiff dance movements, but the eponymous parkour robot in RunBot is anything but tense and rigid.

Marvelous Entertainment (publisher of the original Harvest Moon games) has confirmed that RunBot will be racing onto the App Store globally for free on August 22nd. It's already available in New Zealand, mind.

Despite its name, this RunBot was built to kill. Because it has a mind of its own, it's decided to rebel and is now attempting to run away from its creators, no matter what they throw at it.

In truth, RunBot is a pretty standard endless-runner. By swiping and touching on the screen, you can execute the dodges, jumps, and slides necessary for the robot to bypass the laser turrets, shield barriers, and drone attacks.

Slightly less standard for this genre, however, are the sections in which the robot free-falls. Here, you'll need to use tilt controls to manoeuvre through the air.

You'll also need to collect batteries throughout the game to make sure the robot is full of juice as it charges onwards.

RunBot is a free game and from a proven publisher, so you should definitely keep an eye out for it at the end of this month.
