Snake oil costs $35 at the Doctor's Offices, but it can also be found by looting abandoned places. It is an incredibly useful item that is good to have on you, because you never know when you'll get into a brawl with a zombie, werewolf, or vampire, and the harm inflicted on you could end up cutting your playtime short.So, one would argue that snake oil is an amazing item to have in your possession. That all sounds good so far, but if you barely have any money, is it worth getting?
Should you buy snake oil?
In my honest opinion, I think that if you're still at your first few playthroughs, it's not worth buying it. If you loot it, that's great, but otherwise don't spend money on it. I believe it's worth buying once you have a good understanding of the game, what you need to do, where you should go, how much time to spend in each location, and so on.It's especially great when you want to go explore zombie towns and locations that are filled to the brim with enemies, but you still want to loot them. Having a bottle of snake oil as backup is going to make the entire process a lot easier.

To use the snake oil, you just have to activate it from your inventory. It will heal you over time and give you a 50% speed boost too, and the best part - you can stack 3 of them.
