Only a few weeks back, the spiritual successor to the legendary Road Rash titled Road Redemption was announced to be dropping on mobile soon. Well, it turns out that soon meant REALLY soon, as it has officially launched as of today! This hyper-violent racing game sees you take up the role of a motorcyclist, beating your opponents into submission while also staying ahead of them with your raw speed.

Road Rash was a massive success when it came on, up there with the likes of Twisted Metal or Flatout as most people’s introduction into the still relatively untapped combat-racer genre. Road Redemption seeks to emulate a lot of the same stuff but enhance it with modern-day features and quality-of-life improvements, as well as additional touches like new weapons and power-ups.

Road Redemption has been out on PC and consoles for quite some time and has seen a lot of success on both, so it’s nice to see it finally make its way to mobile. It might even come as something of a blessing, as that previously mentioned combat-racer genre is super bare on phones for the most part.

Still, even with its focus on taking out your opponents with bats and guns and whatnot, there is a bit of that same arcade racing style in here too. You’re encouraged to use dirty tactics to take out your opponents, but you’re equally encouraged to race ahead of them and be the first one across the finish line too! This time around though, it’s a lot more by any means necessary instead of simply slamming that gas pedal and being the fastest out there.

Through deserts, city streets, and many other tracks, you’ll pick up various weaponry to combat your opponents as you shoot for the goal and upgrade your bike over time with each victory, earning more money and more potential to become the best roadster out there.

If you’d like to try out Road Redemption yourself, you can do so at either of the links below for absolutely zero dollars, so what are you waiting for? Get out there and bash some skulls!
