Rise of Kingdoms passport and migration guide

In Rise of Kingdoms, there are several servers available to players, with new ones coming out every now and again. Sometimes, servers will not get a high number of players, and will leave players residing there with very few allies or enemies - that's when passports come into play.

That's also called RoK migration, and it's the process that allows players to switch servers (in very simple terms). This process is facilitated by the use of a Rise of Kingdoms Passport page and if you're eager to learn how you can do it yourself, then keep on reading!

In RoK, migration cannot be done by just anyone, and it's going to require quite a few resources. There's also a pre-determined rule that will not allow super-advanced players to migrate to underdeveloped kingdoms because that will result in a great unbalance of power.

So, it's only allowed to migrate to developed kingdoms - these are kingdoms/servers that have been open for more than 120 days.

There is also a chance that a kingdom can have a migration power cap (again, to deal with the issue of OP players migrating and taking over everything). You'll be able to see this cap before, and in certain situations even message the King of that kingdom to raise the power cap (or you can lower yours - more details about that below).

Remember, you cannot migrate to kingdoms currently partaking in Lost Kingdom, or any other Kingdom-wide events.

What is the RoK Passport and how to get one?

A Passport Page, or an RoK passport is an item that allows players to migrate from one server to another. This consumable is available in a couple of premium $5 packs that grant players a number of resources, Speedups, Gems and VIP Points.

You can also purchase a Passport Page in the Alliance shop by using 100k Alliance Credits. It's pricey, but definitely worth it if you have your eyes on another kingdom.

How to migrate in Rise of Kingdoms?

If you're curious how the actual process of migration works and where the RoK Passport comes into play, then let's take a look:

Firstly, you need to have the required Passport Page or Pages. There are also a number of conditions you need to meet, which I've listed below. After collecting this, you can go to the Kingdom Map and zoom all the way out, until you see a Globe icon in the bottom right.

You'll see a list of all the available kingdoms and their current status. You can select there which one you like, and look at the Status as well as Immigration Power Cap.

Here are all the conditions you need to meet in order to be eligible for migration in Rise of Kingdoms:

  • Level 16+ City Hall
  • Have no Alliance
  • Have no Marching Queues
  • You are not in combat
  • Your power does not exceed the server Power Cap
  • Your kingdom is in the season of Conquest

After migrating:

  • You have a 30d cooldown before you can migrate again
  • Event points will be reset (so you'll have 0)

What does the status of a kingdom mean?

There are several options when it comes to the status of a Kingdom.

  • Nascent: A new kingdom/server to which players who have City Hall level 8 or lower can move to by using Beginner's Teleport.
  • Preparation season: Immigration is possible both ways between kingdoms in the same region that are not Nascent.
  • Season 1: The 8 kingdoms of a region will go into Season 1 once "The Last Golden Apple" is complete for all of them. Immigration is possible between any of these kingdoms.
  • Season 2: After Season 1 is complete, regions adjacent and their kingdoms will go into Season 2 together. Immigration is possible between any 2 kingdoms currently in Season 2.
  • Season 3: After Season 2 is complete, regions adjacent and their kingdoms will go into Season 3 together. Immigration from Season 3 is possible between kingdoms that are in Season 2 or Season 3 only.
  • Season of Conquest: Post Season 3 comes Season of Conquest, where players can choose to immigrate to any kingdom currently in Season of Conquest, as well as in Season 2 or Season 3.
  • Immigration Limited: Unable to immigrate here, the kingdom is participating in Lost Kingdom event.

Rise of Kingdoms - Imperium Kingdoms and migration

Imperium Kingdoms are kingdoms where a set King is in place. That means there is a player who must actually accept the application if the Power Cap exceeds a certain limit. Migrating to these servers is a little bit more difficult, but doable.

If you have under 25,000,000 Power then it's possible to migrate to Imperium Kingdoms, but if you exceed 35,000,000 Power then you must have your immigration approved by the King.

Is it worth migrating?

If you're an avid player who likes new challenges and strives to achieve greatness, it's ultimately a very good option for you. It's something that is rather end-game, and I do not recommend it for players who just want to casually enjoy the game and not bother with PvP events. So yes, it is definitely worth it if you want to achieve more and more and let your name be known.
