RISE OF KINGDOMS EGYPT: CIVILIZATION BONUSES

RoK Egypt civilization launch

The developers did not choose random bonuses for Egypt. Instead, before adding it, they considered the real advantages of the ancient civilization. For example, Ancient Egypt is famous for its incredible building masterpieces, which are difficult to reproduce even with the use of modern technology. Because of this fact, the developers have increased the base speed of research and construction by 1.5%.

In addition to advanced technology and building skills, the Egyptians had a powerful army. In the era of the Old Kingdom, the bulk of the troops were archers, and in later times, in the era of the New Kingdom, this status passed to the shooting chariots, which also housed a man with a bow and arrows. This is probably why Egypt in Rise of Kingdoms received +5% to the attack of shooters.

The faction's third buff is a 5% increase in the damage of summoned armies. That is, in the case of a collective attack by another player or virtual opponents, all allies receive a bonus for the damage dealt.

If you have already played Rise of Kingdoms, then you probably know that there is a representative of the ancient Egyptian civilization in the game. This is Cleopatra VII, the last ruler of Egypt before the conquest by Rome, one of the most controversial and popular female figures of that era. In RoK, Cleopatra is designed primarily for gathering resources and is not suitable for battles.

Now there are some additions in the ranks of the representatives of Egypt which represent not only economic but also military strength. In the update, along with the civilization, the epic commander Imhotep and the legendary commander Thutmose III were added.

IMHOTEP

Commander Power: 2,500

Contrary to the historical misconception some people hold, Imhotep was never a pharaoh. Instead, he was one of the close associates of Pharaoh Djoser. He was his chief adviser and at the same time a priest of the god Ra.

Imhotep is a high-quality secondary hero and useful in a bunch of archer commanders. He is able to strengthen his own and allied troops, and also gives an advantage in the defense of the settlement.

Skills:

  • The High Priest (active). Inflicts a debuff in range (up to five targets, for three seconds). Targets take 10% more damage. When the skill is improved, the damage increases to 12/14/16/20%.
  • Talented Vizier (passive). This commander's marksmen gain 5% attack and defense. When the skill is improved, the bonus to attack and defense increases to 7/9/12/15%.
  • God of Medicine (passive). Increases the health of troops in the garrison by 1%.
  • When the skill is improved, the bonus to health increases to 2/3/5/7%.
  • Sage of Peace (passive). When this Commander's troops are hit, there is a 10% chance to inflict a debuff on the target for 3 seconds. This reduces the enemy's skill damage by 5%. The ability triggers every 5 seconds. When the skill is improved, the damage is reduced by 7/9/12/15%.
  • Stairway to Heaven. Enhances the High Priest's active ability. Imhotep weakens up to five targets in range for 3 seconds. All enemies take 30% more damage. When Imhotep is chosen as Second Commander, targets also gain 50 less Rage per second for 3 seconds.

THUTMOSE III

Commander Power: 4,700

The great pharaoh became famous for his military successes. For 15 military campaigns, Thutmose was never defeated in battle. It was under him that Egypt reached its greatest prosperity and became the greatest empire. Under the command of Thutmose III, the army of Ancient Egypt subjugated Syria and Palestine and also established control over the western bank of the Euphrates, where the state of Mitanni was located.

In Rise of Kingdoms, Thutmose III can take on the role of primary and secondary commander of an army of archers. As in life, in the game, this ruler demonstrates great power and is perfect for attacking various enemies.

Skills:

  • Brave ruler (active). Deals direct damage to targets in a wide cone in front of you (up to three targets, damage multiplier 500). The damage of each subsequent target is reduced by 15%. Enemies affected by the skill also receive 10% less healing for 5 seconds. When a skill is upgraded, the direct damage multiplier increases to 600/700/800/1000 units, and the healing effect reduction increases to 15/20/25/30%.
  • Empire Builder (passive). All archer units of Thutmose gain 5% Attack and 4% Speed while marching. Units deal 5% more damage outside of alliance territory. When the skill is improved, the attack of the archers and the bonus to damage are increased by 7/9/12/15%, and the bonus to the speed of the archers on the march is increased by 5/6/8/10%.
  • Conquest of Mitanni (passive). The protection of the archers on the map is increased by 4%, and each attack of the unit has a 10% chance to apply a debuff to the target. The target then takes 5% more skill damage for 3 seconds. The effect occurs once every eight seconds. When a skill is upgraded, the archer's defense bonus increases to 5/6/8/10% and the damage taken from skills increases by 7/9/12/ 15%.
  • Vast territory (passive). Thutmose's troops take 4% less damage from counterattacks. Warriors have a 10% chance to deal skill damage to the enemy when attacked (damage multiplier 300). The effect occurs once every eight seconds. When the skill is upgraded, the reduction in damage taken from counterattacks increases to 5/6/8/10%, and the direct damage multiplier increases to 400/500/600/700 units.
  • Might of Thebes (passive). When using an active skill, units deal 30% more damage using normal attacks for three seconds. The skill triggers once every eight seconds.
