Ride Out Heroes brings a hybrid of Battle Royale and Hero Shooters to iOS and Android

NetEase's latest Battle Royale venture Ride Out Heroes is available now for selected regions for iOS and Android. It's a game that looks to blend the survivalist nature of a Battle Royale mode with the hero shooter mechanics of a game like Overwatch or Paladins.

There are five different classes to choose before you head into the fray including Mage, Hunter, Assassin, Engineer and Warrior. Each has access to their own weapon combinations as well as various skills. Each class will allow you to make use of either stealth, movement, control or damage, so there's a style to suit everyone.

You can of course squad up too which means you can all select different classes to jump into the game with, further opening up your tactical choices. Much like Apex Legends, there's also a revival system in Ride Out Heroes. If a teammate is killed you'll be able to retrieve their essence and revive them if you take it to a Goddess statue.

If you are the one who is killed then you'll be able to come back to life as a baby dragon while you're waiting to be revived. In this adorable form you can run about and fight the enemies a little bit, or just generally try to be a nuisance to buy your team some time to revive you.

Ride Out Heroes is available through the App Store and Google Play now in selected regions. If you're in Europe, Thailand, Vietnam, Japan, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Macao, you'll have to wait a little longer. Ride Out Heroes is a free-to-play game with in-app purchases.
