Reverse: 1999 to begin its first anniversary celebrations with a live stream
  • Bluepoch will host a special live stream on September 7th
  • Carina Reeves and Rae Lim, who voice Regulus and Sonetto, will present the show
  • It will reveal upcoming content for the 1.9 update, Vereinsamt

Today, Reverse: 1999 developer Bluepoch has effectively released an announcement of an announcement. Don't we all love those? The popular RPG's first anniversary is on the horizon so the team is hosting a special live stream on September 7th to commemorate the occasion and reveal new content.

The live stream will be hosted by Carina Reeves and Rae Lim, who provide the voices of Regulus and Sonetto, respectively. Together, they will run through the 1.9 update, Vereinsamt. If you're interested in tuning in, the stream starts at 8:00 am UTC-5/2:00 pm BST/3:00 pm CEST/9:00 am EST/6:00 am PST on September 7th. And, if your memory is abysmal like mine, you can always get YouTube to notify you when it kicks off.

Alongside the stream, Bluepoch is also running a What If There Were No “Storm” In this World event on Twitter. So, if you're the social media type, ensure you follow that account as you could be in with a shot to snag a Merch Box and other rewards that haven't been specified yet.

And that's all we know for now. As I said at the top, it's very much an announcement of an announcement. Still, for fans of Reverse: 1999, that might prove enough to get excited about. Personally, I'm more surprised the game is only a year old. It feels like it's been around for far longer than that, which speaks to its quick rise in popularity over the past 12 months.

While we're chatting Reverse: 1999, I'd urge you to check out Iwan's interview with music producer Ricky Lee if you want some insights on how the team approached the soundtrack.

Reverse: 1999 is available now on the App Store and Google Play, where it's free-to-play with in-app purchases. You can download it for your preferred platform using the big buttons below.
