Resident Evil Village and Resident Evil 4 Remake both open pre-orders for their soon-to-launch iOS versions
After being revealed only a little while back, pre-orders have opened up for the highly anticipated survival horror mobile ports of Resident Evil Village and Resident Evil 4: Remake. Both of the games have been opened up on the App Store for pre-orders ahead of their planned releases later this year, with Village specifically being set for October 30th.

Let’s address the elephant in the room before anything else: that hefty price point. Now, $60 is no small ask for a mobile game especially, but to think of these two titles as mobile games might be further off the mark than you think. As was discussed during their reveal, neither Village nor RE4Make are the typical neutered experience you might expect from a mobile port of a previously console/PC exclusive title, but are instead the games in their entirety with nothing removed in the slightest.
So, while it might seem intimidating to drop triple-A prices for a mobile game, these are triple-A games, and it makes a lot of sense in the grand scheme of things to see them placed at such a price point. Heck, both games are even launching with their DLC add-ons as well, so it’s clear this is very much intended to be the full package just as one would be able to experience on their respective console or PC.
On top of that, if the price point does still make you hesitate, Capcom is offering up a free version of Resident Evil Village and likely RE4Make as well once it launches, which will allow you to experience the opening hours before committing to purchasing the full game.
That aside, while RE4Make does not have a set date for release onto the new iPad or iPhone models just yet, Resident Evil Village has been confirmed for a release on October 30th. With that only being a month away, there’s no better time to pre-order the game and prepare to experience what was once unfathomable on our pocket devices.
