Resident Evil Village has released for the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max

The Resident Evil franchise has been around for over two decades now, expanding into various other media like live-action and animated films, TV series, comics, and merch which has made it the highest-grossing horror franchise. Capcom has dropped a Halloween gift for everyone as Resident Evil Village makes its way to the App Store today.

Before you get all excited, the only catch is that the game is exclusively available on the iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, and all iPads with the M1 chip or later. Everyone else unfortunately misses out. This move was made to ensure that the handheld device is able to deliver ultra-realistic graphics that can rival console fidelity.

The game is powered by Capcom’s RE Engine, which makes the most of Apple’s powerful silicon that is packed with features such as MetalFX Upscaling. Apple will also be revealing the new M3 chip in a few hours during the Scary Fast event, so playing Resident Evil on one of the devices will be even more thrilling.

In addition to the base game, everyone can also get their hands on the Winters’ Expansion DLC, which comes with a third-person mode, more playable characters for the Mercenaries mode, and Shadows of Rose, which is the final chapter of the Winters family taking place 16 years in the future. Full cross-progression support means you can seamlessly swap between devices as well.

Resident Evil Village is currently available on the App Store where it's free-to-start. The full game and DLC are on sale until November 20th.
