Re:Zero - Starting Life in Another World Witch's re:surrection, a brand new 3D RPG based on the anime series, reveals itself with a small trailer

Developer Elemental Craft is looking to surprise fans of the popular anime series Re:Zero - Starting Life in Another World with a new mobile adaption of the game. Titled Witch’s re:surrection, this one seeks to tell a new story within the world of the popular anime utilising fully 3D graphics alongside traditional JRPG mechanics.
Re:Zero is, first and foremost, one of the most recognisable anime names out there, and for good reason. The popular Japanese media genre of isekai is a bit oversaturated, but Re:Zero stands out for having amazingly written characters, a soundtrack to die for, and some phenomenal storytelling.

All of that is to say you should absolutely watch it, not only for how great it is, but also because unlike most mobile adaptations of anime series, World Witch’s re:surrection is not a retelling of the same story, but is instead an entirely new tale that is still supervised by the series original creator, Tappei Nagatsuki.
So, while you could probably just jump right into this game and still enjoy it on its own, you’ll be missing a ton of context as to who’s who and what’s what within the high fantasy world that Re:Zero has crafted. Basically, the story will hit a lot harder and make a lot more sense if you know what you’re getting into.
On the gameplay side of things, the only peek at it we have seems to show off some truly stunning open-world segments and what looks to be turn-based combat. Granted, that’s speculation based only on the peek above, so take it with a grain of salt.
For now, that’s all we have on this new open-world RPG. Still, fans of the anime series should keep an eye out for this one. If you’d like to do so, check out the official website to stay up-to-date on any news that drops.
