PUBG Mobile unveils big plans for second half of the 2025 esports season
That's (not) a wrap!

- PUBG Mobile has unveiled brand new esports details for the second half of 2025
- Chief amongst them being changes to the 2025 PMGC
- Now there are more chances than ever for top teams to snag a spot in the leaderboards
For fans of PUBG Mobile, the esports season this year has already been full of excitement. Whether it's grassroots competitions or the amazing action of the PUBG Mobile World Cup, fans are eagerly anticipating what else is to come. So, for those of you sick of waiting, you'll be excited to know we've had huge reveals of what to expect for PUBG Mobile esports in the second half of 2025!
The biggest changes and announcements are for the 2025 PMGC (PUBG Mobile Global Championship), where pro teams vie for the chance to be crowned the top name in esports for PUBG Mobile. Now, a new Gauntlet Stage will offer an additional chance for 16 teams to compete for a shot at the Grand Finals.
The Gauntlet Stage will also tie into other competitions this year. To qualify, teams must place in the top two or three spots in the regional 2025 PUBG Mobile Super League (PMSL) rankings.

Running the gauntlet
But don't think that's the only chance for action either! The bottom 10-ranked teams from the Gauntlet will get one last chance in the Group Stage, alongside 22 other teams from across the globe. A combined 32 teams get one last chance to qualify for the finals of the PMGC!The move to encourage last chances and more opportunities for surprise performances to warrant a spot in the finals will be welcome, I'd bet. It means that rather than just focusing on those already at the top of their game, we'll also get the chance to see what other teams can bring to the table.
Think you've got what it takes to be an esports star? Well, you could always put your skills to the test in the most challenging top shooters available on Android and see whether you measure up!
