Well, it's Monday, but if you're feeling a bit low maybe you can pick up Pokémon TCG Pocket and get a little boost to your deck if nothing else? Yes, a new Wonder Pick event is underway, and this time the fan-favourite Pokémon making an appearance is Manaphy and the sleep-loving Snorlax.
Wonder Pick, which nets you a chance of nabbing a card from packs your friends have opened, also features Bonus Picks that won't cost you any of the Wonder Stamina resources. So keep an eye out for those, all marked by the icon of the Pokémon Chansey.
Meanwhile, if you're looking for even more rewards in this event keep an eye out for event missions (including doing Wonder Picks) where you can earn event shop tickets. These can be traded for nifty new stuff, with this latest event including Manaphy & Piplup-themed backdrops and covers, while a new Futuristic Device backdrop is also available.
I always find the Wonder Pick mechanic to be a fairly simple one, almost deceptively so. But I think the lack of complaints compared to the hotly-anticipated but lukewarm-on-reception trading mechanic says a lot about it. At the end of the day, it's a neat if not exactly reliable way to get new cards, and it seems as if the folks at TCG Pocket are trying to further incentivise it by adding event shop tickets as a reward.
Keep an eye out too, because there's reportedly a second part of this event coming soon where event tickets can be used. So save them up if you're able to!
