Pokémon TCG Pocket's latest Wonder Pick event now live, featuring Marill and Weavile promo cards
  • Pokemon TCG Pocket's latest Wonder Pick event is now live
  • This time around it's Marill and Weavile featuring as promo cards
  • New Tyranitar-themed goodies are also available for completing event missions

As the week passes its tipping point and starts heading towards the weekend, it seems only natural that we get our usual wrap-ups of events from top releases. That means the upcoming Epic Game Store freebie, and the debut of Pokémon TCG Pocket's latest Wonder Pick event, arriving today and featuring new promo cards for Marill and Weavile!

For those not in the know, Wonder Picking allows you to nab a special card from your friends whenever they open a booster pack. And this event nets you a chance to pull the exclusive promo cards for Marill and Weavile, only available while the event is active until August 24th.

But that's not all, because by Wonder Picking, you'll also be able to net yourself other exclusive digital accessories for Pokémon TCG Pocket. This time around, they're all themed around Tyranitar, with a playmat, Pokémon coin, icon and an Undersea backdrop all offering exclusive new ways for you to customise your look.

Pick the wonders, not your nose

With Wisdom of Sea and Sky now firmly in the rear-view mirror, I think I'm not alone in wondering when we're going to get another new expansion from the folks at TCG Pocket. At the same time, I'm also glad to know that we've still got the Wonder Pick events as a continuous source of excitement.

Admittedly, the recent misstep with Lugia and Ho-Oh, which saw the two top cards having their art yanked in order to be replaced with new artwork, was a bit of a downer. But TCG Pocket remains the definitive way to experience the CCG on mobile.

In the meantime, if you find yourself interested in looking at what other top card games have made their way to mobile, why not check out our list of the best card battlers on iOS for more options?
