Pokémon TCG Pocket merch is now available, but only in Japan

- The only snag? It's currently Japan-only
- The merch lineup went live over the weekend and is available via the Japan Pokémon Center site
As far as trading card adaptations go, Pokémon TCG Pocket has had something of a mixed reaction. On the one hand, the trading feature proved to be a major misstep, but on the other, it's been broadly received as a great way to play the hit TCG digitally. But if you were hoping you'd be able to express your love with some merch, you may be disappointed.
That's because Pokémon TCG Pocket official merch is now available. But you'll only be able to get it if you're in Japan from the official Pokémon Center merch site. A brief glance at the international version of this site doesn't show them currently available, but there is a glimmer of hope they may soon go worldwide.
So, if you're already feeling low, let's take you lower by showing off the goodies lucky Japan-based fans have on offer.
The list includes such interesting desk fillers as paper theatre pieces (essentially mini 3D dioramas that resemble cards), smartphone shoulder straps, keychains and a Sacoche with an interior lining printed with the Pikachu EX immersive card art.
It's not exactly rare for Japan to get the lion's share of fandom fun. After all, I can't tell you how many limited-time pop-up shops, cafes and other interesting events many anime, manga and gaming fans have had to sit on the sidelines for outside of the country.
But, given the popularity of Pokémon TCG Pocket, it may be that we see these arrive internationally. Maybe you've got new ideas for stocking fillers when it comes to the Poke-fanatic in your life.
