Pokemon Go is bringing back Sustainability Week this year with new debutants and events
| Pokemon GO
We’re over halfway through Pokémon Go’s April events, and it’s time for another weeklong celebration. Last year, the AR game celebrated Earth Day for not just one day, but seven through Sustainability Week. The event aims to spread awareness about saving the planet while giving players a number of themed activities to take part in.
Pokémon Go’s Sustainability Week event will run from April 20th, until the 26th at 8:00 pm local time. in 2022, trainers saw the debut of Oranguru. This time, Bounsweet, the Fruit Pokémon will be seen hopping around the wilds for the first time. Players will also be able to get their hands on its evolutions – Steenee and Tsareena by collecting 100 Candy.
The sustainability week theme will be carried forward by timed research and field research tasks that will feature event-exclusive Pokémon. Completing these challenges will grant a variety of rewards alongside encounters with Pokémon such as Drilbur, Trubbish, and Bounsweet. Some say that their Shiny versions may also be spotted in the wild.
But completing missions isn’t the only way of earning goodies. The four event bonuses that will go live are going to help with that as well. If trainers’ Buddy Pokémon are Great Buddy or higher, they will bring leaf-wrapped gifts containing Berries including the rate Silver Pinap Berry. On the other hand, if they are Ultra or more, they will grant souvenirs more quickly.
In addition to all these tasks, trainers can dress up in style for the event as new avatar items will be available in the shop. Inspired by the debuting Pokémon, players can purchase themed items like the Bounsweet Hat, Steenee Shirt, and Tsareena Boots.
This year’s theme for Earth Day is “Invest in Our Planet”. Help raise awareness on creating a viable future by participating in Pokémon Go’s Sustainability Week. Also, check out this month’s list of redeemable Pokémon Go codes!
