Pokemon Go will continue its build-up to the Pokemon Go Tour: Kanto next week by celebrating the Hoenn region. This will take place from January 19th and run until 24th. During this time a plethora of Pokemon native to Hoenn will appear in the wild.

This will include the likes of Treecko, Torchic, Mudkip, Taillow, Loudred, Nosepass, Aron, Meditite, Roselia, Carvanha, Numel, Baltoy. Among those Pokemon, you'll want to keep your eyes peeled for a Shiny version of Aron.

Meanwhile, Skitty, Aron, Corphish, Lileep, Anorith, Bagon, and Beldum will be hatching from 5km whilst Treecko, Torchic, Mudkip, Aron, Plusle, Minun, and Wailmer can be obtained through event-exclusive Field Research tasks which will also reward players with some Stardust.

In terms of Raids, Treecko, Torchic, Mudkip, Ralts, Aron, and Bagon will appear in one-star Raids whilst three-star Raids will be populated by Breloom, Mawile, Grumpig, Spinda, and Absol. Finally, Kyogre and Groudon will be featured in five-star Raids.

There will also be another Collection Challenge to complete, tasking players with catching Treecko, Torchic, Mudkip, Nincada, Nosepass, Aron, Plusle, Minun, and Bagon. Doing so will yield three Silver Pinap Berries, XP, and an Incense.

Elsewhere, evolving a Metang during the event will result in a Metagross that knows Meteor Smash. If that's not exotic enough, completing all the event-exclusive Timed Research tasks will earn players an encounter with a Rayquaza that knows the Charged Attack Hurricane. In addition to that, it also rewards 3000 XP and a Silver Pinap Berry. There's also a chance this Rayquaza will be Shiny.

Pokemon Go is available now over on the App Store and Google Play. It's a free-to-play game with in-app purchases.
