Pokemon Go February guide: All the upcoming events, raids, and new Pokemon

With the ongoing Power Plant event, Spark and Helioptile have almost cracked the final mechanism of the mysterious door in Pokémon Go. By February, they should have opened it to reveal whatever is inside. Let’s take a look at all the upcoming content in February on Pokémon Go.

February’s Research Breakthrough encounter will feature Espurr and a Shiny Espurr for the lucky trainers out there. As always, every Monday will allow players to purchase a bundle containing a Remote Raid Pass and more for one PokéCoin. As a monthly bonus for the Season of Heritage, everyone will receive increased XL Candy and 2x XP from hatching eggs.

February Raids

Making their return to five-star raids next month are the legendaries Regirock (February 1st – 9th), Registeel (February 9th – 16th), and then until the end of the month players will encounter Deoxys in its Normal, Attack, and Speed forms. The first two weeks will feature Mega Houndoom in Mega Raids and the final two will see trainers encounter Mega Ampharos. Everyone will also get two free Raid Passes by spinning Gym discs in the last two weeks of the month.

Spotlight Hours

Spotlight Hours are held every Tuesday from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm local time. This month’s spotlight Pokémon and bonuses are:

• February 1st – Litleo and 2x Evolution XP
• February 8th – Spritzee and 2x Catch Stardust
• February 15th – Koffing with 2x Catch XP
• February 22nd – Voltorb with 2x Catch Candy

• Pokémon Go Tour: Johto – The brand new tour will be held on February 26th. Learn all about it in our recent post
• Lunar New Year – Players can celebrate the Lunar New Year in the first week of February with all their favourite Pokémon
• Valentine’s Day – Niantic is hosting a bunch of events and activities between February 10th and 14th to celebrate love. The evolutionary line of a Fairy-type Pokémon will also make its debut during this period
• GO Tour Johto Leadup Event – A PokéBall focussed event will also go live the week prior to the tour
