We’re about a third of the way through Pokémon Go’s Season of Light and things are about to get brighter. Niantic just revealed its calendar of events for October, which is packed with events to celebrate Diwali, Halloween, and numerous other events. As always, raids and spotlight hours will be available as well.

Speaking of those events, Pokémon Go's October roadmap kicks off with the Evolving Stars event between October 5th and 11th. When the Season of Light began, Professor Willow had made his return with Cosmog, the Nebula Pokémon, whose story will unfold throughout the season.

We get one step closer to uncovering its secrets since the second Special Research story out of three will unlock during the Evolving Stars event. This story is going to continue throughout the season and after October 5th, players should have a clearer picture of what’s happening as we will be over halfway through.

With the continuation of Cosmog’s tale, the Nebula Pokémon will also be able to evolve into Cosmoem during this event by using 25 Cosmog Candy. Don’t worry much about missing out on Cosmog after evolving it because players will have a chance to get their hands on another one later.

Cosmoem isn’t the only Pokémon to look out for, though. A few days into the event, on October 8th, Mega Gyarados will appear in Mega Raid Battles more frequently. Spinning Photo Discs at Gyms will give away up to five Raid Passes as well. Plus, there is a chance of a Shiny Gyrados appearing as well.

Besides this, players can also participate in Field Research encounters to earn Stardust, Evolution items, and Mega Energy. Collection Challenges return for this event too, with four of them to complete for Evolution Items. Finally, the battle-hungry trainers can sign up for the Evolution Cup.
