Pocket Gamer iPhone and iPad gaming podcast: Episode 229 - Modern Combat 5, Deus Ex: The Fall, Plants vs Zombies 2

It's a three-hander episode this week, with podcast stalwarts Jon and Keith joining me behind the mic for some pre-E3 chatter.

The debut trailer for Modern Combat 5 is our first topic. However, it isn't long before we're trashing physical iOS joypads and definitely NOT mentioning Call of Duty.

Things soon get controversial, with the surprisingly antagonistic spectre of the newly announced Deus Ex: The Fall rearing its augmented head. Check out the dislike count to the announcement trailer to see what we mean.

We also take a look at the Plants vs Zombies 2 trailer, and analyse what effect the new free-to-play setup might have on the franchise.

The excellent Bridgy Jones kicks off the New Releases section this week. This is followed closely by tower defence sequel Kingdom Rush: Frontiers and Ron Gilbert's match-three puzzler Scurvy Scallywags.

Finally, I explain why the iPad version of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic is neat, Jon drifts through Fast & Furious 6: The Game, and Keith gets passive with pigment in Color Zen.
