[Update] Pixel point-and-click Paul Pixel is out now on iOS
Updated 13th September, 11:28 AM: Welcome to the apocalypse. It's time to help your ol' pal Paul defeat a bunch of zombies and save the world.

Grab Paul Pixel - The Awakening on the App Store for £2.29/$2.99 now.

Talk about taking retro to the max, Paul Pixel – The Awakening is coming to iOS on Tuesday September 13th for iPhone and iPad.

A lot of gamers are so hell-bent on next-gen graphics that they forget the simple pleasures in life such as a bird's morning chorus, a gentle breeze on a warm day, or the style and substance of a great pixel game. Okay, so maybe that was a little twee, but you get my point.

Paul Pixel is about an ordinary guy who gets drafted to defend the world from a vile zombie swarm. This point-and-click adventure is reminiscent of older games such as Monkey Island and Maniac Mansion, but it's built with touch-screen in mind.

Mobile devices and point-and-click games are like beer and burgers; a match made in heaven. Combine the stylistic pixel art with a booming retro soundtrack and voila, you've got yourself a pretty neat looking zombie game.

Paul Pixel – The Awakening will touch down next week. Check out their website here if you'd like to know more, and until Tuesday keep an eye on us. We'll let you know when the game drops.
