NetEase has just released a new update for its upcoming survival sandbox, Once Human, which details the new features coming to this weird game. Once Human is set to release another closed beta test on January 6th and with all this new content that will further enhance the gameplay experience.

Probably the biggest feature being added to Once Human in the next CBT is the ability to take on the Great Ones. The overarching villains of the game, the Great Ones are vile, god-like creatures that want to take over humanity. Beginning next month, players will be able to challenge these beings through a special gameplay mode where there are multiple responsibilities including leading from the front, being on the sidelines, and building bases.

Next up, we have Securement Silos, newly added hidden areas that are waiting to be discovered. Originally built by Rosetta, these facilities were built to study and control Deviations. While a few of these still lie under Rosetta, some have been taken over by Deviants or have Stardust pollution. Players will have to purge these sites and fight their way through them to get piles of loot.

Meanwhile, PvP is also being upgraded with the introduction of the new Chaos feature. When players enter the Chaos state, things naturally go berserk as they can now attack others and loot their territories. Multiple modes are available including server-wide battles or PvE modes where Chaos players can target only other Chaos Metas.

The developers have been working on enhancing gameplay as well. Character movements will be more fluid and they will be able to interact with the environments in new ways too. A wider variety of combat gears will also be added, adding to the game's immersiveness.
