Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds' latest update commemorates its first anniversary with new Battle Styles and numerous events
Netmarble has just released a special update for Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds as the popular MMORPG turns one. Players can expect a number of in-game events, gameplay modes, and rewards to show up as part of the first anniversary celebrations. This patch is one of the largest ones yet and gives everyone the chance to obtain up to 400 1st Anniversary Celebration Special Summon Coupons, making it an event you can’t miss.
Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds’ birthday party kicks off with the 1st Anniversary Special Summon, which lets players earn 220 Special Summon Coupons for logging in ten days in a tow. They can be used to obtain items like a 4-star Rare familiar, weapon, and armour. Gathering mileage from these summons ultimately grants the 6-star Modern Classic Car and a Rare Lucky Box.
There’s a second check-in event, this one lasting for two weeks. Logging in on the 14th day will reward players with a Special Title, a 4-star Rare Equipment Selection Chest and of course, Summon Coupons. If that many freebies aren’t enough, redeem these codes for gold, pods, chests, and more.
The update further introduces Battle Style, a new way of expressing players’ style of combat. It opens up the battleground for fighters and through the system, classes will be allowed to change their weapon styles to come up with newer ways of battling. These Battle Styles can be changed on the fly, allowing for the creation of specific styles for different combat scenarios.
In addition, players can also power up their characters using the new Artifacts. These objects increase heroes’ combat stats which enables them to take advantage of Battle Styles. Finally, players can also enjoy Legendary Ancient Genie, a beloved episode from last year, that is now returning as a Side Story.
