WWDC 2010: Apple's iPhone 4 to be released on June 24th worldwide, for $199 / $299

The iPhone 4, the brand new smartphone from Apple, will be released on June 24th for $199 for the 16GB edition, and $299 for the 32GB device.

That's the same price as the 3GS. Except the 3GS will now be $99, and the 3G is completely dead.

It'll be out on the 24th in the US, France, Germany, UK, and Japan. More countries in July, and even more in September, bringing the total to 88.

It will come in black, and white.

The device features a brand new look, a 960x640-pixel screen, a five megapixel camera, a front facing snapper, and an A4 processor under the hood.

It's also thinner, has a better battery, and an antenna for all your connections around the steel trim. Oh, and a three axis gyroscope for better motion tracking in games.

That's quite an update from the 3GS.

Want accessories? There's a dock and a "bumper" type case.

iPhone OS 4.0 is out on June 21st. That'll be free for everyone, even iPod touch users.
