Lucky for you, Pocket Gamer has picked out three such titles from the past couple of days, which can now be downloaded from Apple's digital store free of charge.

Your mission in the Worms-esque Jelly Wars is to destroy your arch-nemesis by firing exploding jelly shots at him, and claim a glowing treasure unearthed by a massive meteorite.

You can move around the game's landscapes in a similar nature to the aforementioned Worms, with shots from close range dealing extra damage to your foe's health.

Jelly Wars encourages you to send your buddies invitations, check out how you stack up against the opposition's statistics, and climb to the top of the rankings system.

If you're looking for a free arcade top-down racing experience, you've come to the right place.

VS. Racing offers a 34-race single-player campaign set over six unique tracks, local wi-fi multiplayer for up to six friends, and Bluetooth multiplayer for three Jenson Button wannabes.

If none of the above tempts you, you can jump into a Time Trial race, speed into action in a Ghost race, and compare your best times with your Facebook buddies.

You'll be controlling your car with either tilt controls, an on-screen directional pad, or left and right buttons, so don't be expecting a Gran Turismo-esque experience.

The age-old battle between creepy crawlies and the human race has inevitably spilled over into the App Store.

Critter Quitter sees you furiously squishing the little blighters over 30 levels, before they munch on your pizza, cakes, pies, and other tasty goodies.

Luckily, each pest you successfully squash emits a juice that can be spent on a number of "wacky and wonderful, but dastardly and deadly" weapons and power-ups.

Critter Quitter comes equipped with support for OpenFeint and Game Center, both of which offer leaderboards and achievements.
