More iPhone 5 rumours: Vacation dates blocked, unusual venue chosen
Rumour: iPhone event to be held on Apple campus
With just over a week to go until Apple unveils the iPhone 5 (if several inside tips are to be believed), the rumour mill has started working overtime. AppleInsider is reporting that Apple has blocked two windows of vacation time in October, suggesting that the Cupertino giant is planning to release the anticipated iPhone 5 around that time.
The first of these windows - the 9th to the 12th - is suspected to coincide with the release of iOS 5, with Apple reportedly telling its AppleCare team to, "expect an influx of iOS-related inquiries from customers beginning October 10th".
The second window of dates - the 14th and 15th - could possibly be reserved for the release of the highly sought-after mythical iPhone 5.
A change of sceneryAnother rumour - this time from AllThingsD - suggests that Apple's iPhone 5 event will, in fact, be held on October 4th - just one day before our own exclusive rumour.
The tech site is also reporting that said event will be held at the Apple campus, and not in San Francisco, where the company launched all previous iterations of its smartphone.
