iPhone 4 users get free bumper or refund
Apple offers free case or refund for bumper buyers

Apple is offering a free case to iPhone 4 owners as an olive branch for those worried about reception problems.
CEO Steve Jobs announced the initiative during a special press conference held today at the company's Cupertino, California headquarters.
Jobs insisted that any reception issues related to the antenna encircling the iPhone 4 is addressed with use of a bumper.
Human attenuationAs such, Apple is offering iPhone 4 owners who purchased their phone up to September 30, a free bumper or third-party case. Due to a limited supply of bumpers, Apple explained that third-party iPhone 4 cases will be substituted for bumpers in situations where bumpers aren't available.
If you previously purchased a bumper for your iPhone 4, Apple will issue you a refund for the cost. You're free to keep the bumper for use on your handset.
A visit to the official Apple Store website shows that bumpers are no longer for sale. The site insists that information on how to get your free bumper or case will be posted soon.
We'll relay free bumper and refund information to you as soon as Apple makes it available.
