When Apple engineer Gray Powell left the iPhone 4 prototype in a Redwood City bar just under a year ago, he robbed the blogosphere of several months of speculation about what Apple's next iPhone would look like.
Security arrangements at Cupertino are probably a good deal tighter this year, so we're unlikely to have a clear idea about the iPhone 5 until Steve Jobs whips it out of his pocket on stage in a packed San Francisco conference hall in June.
There are rumours, of course, the latest pointing to a metal back, a larger screen, and a similar form factor to the iPhone 4.
