Unreal Life

Indie adventure game Unreal Life takes players on a gorgeous pixel art journey in the shoes of a girl suffering from memory loss. Oddly enough, she remembers one name - a Miss Sakura. Even odder is that she sets off on a quest to find this Miss Sakura with the help of a talking traffic light.

With the "New Faces Award" from the Japan Media Arts Festival under its belt, the game is an atmospheric experience where players can read the memories of things that the main protagonist touches - a unique puzzle adventure indeed, and with multiple endings to boot.

Castle War: Idle Island

Waging war on castles and kingdoms looks absolutely adorable in Castle War: Idle Island, where players can beef up their fortresses and go castle-to-castle in a colourful PvP game. You'll have to build towers, fortify your defenses, recruit loyal troops and aim to bring down your enemy's castle before they turn yours into rubble.

You can also assign missions to your village, send your troops and rule your island, as well as upgrade weapons to make sure that shiny catapult you've been saving is able to do the job when it matters most.

Clicker Cats

The stressful world we live in today just means there's a bigger appeal for relaxing idle games these days, and Clicker Cats - as the title suggests - is a satisfying idle title where you can simply click, collect, battle and decorate to your heart's desire.

You play as Kit, and you're tasked with maintaining a tavern you inherited from your grandma by making it a haven for heroes from across the globe. You send heroes on quests to collect special goodies you can spruce up your tavern with, then reap the rewards even when you're offline. The art style is adorable, by the way, so it's pretty pleasing to eye and is likely a welcome experience at the end of a tiring day.
