Who doesn't love new games? We certainly do - there's just something about the exhilaration of a new title you can't wait to dive into, as the loading screen pops up and you enter a brave new world.
Of course, new mobile games are a dime a dozen these days, and who has the time to scour the iPhone, iPad and/or Android stores to catch the latest title that drops? Fret not - we've gathered a quick list of 5 new mobile games you should try this week, whether that's an undiscovered indie gem or a high-profile AAA masterpiece.

Greedy Greedy Gnomes
Every now and then, you come across games that are so aptly titled that they deserve to be played from that alone. Greedy Greedy Gnomes is the perfect example of that, in my opinion, as it is, as you might expect, exactly what it says on the tin.
You hire greedy gnomes to break into people's houses and smash pots of gold, because you're just, well, greedy. This kind of incremental "numbers go up" satisfaction also goes hand-in-hand with every gamer's desire to break random pots in strangers' homes - top that off with some charming pixel art and it's definitely worth giving a go.

Duriano
Survivors-likes have been the talk of the town over here at our hypothetical PG Towers lately, with a whole episode on the Pocket Gamer Podcast dedicated to it, in fact. And for good reason! The genre's popularity stems from its fast-paced action and compelling gameplay, and Duriano executes that incredibly well.
Now, despite its title, which reminds me of a certain foul-smelling fruit that's widely cultivated in my country, this top-down roguelite offers a very distinct art style where said fruit becomes the hero of a Norse-themed myth. You'll get to tinker around with different skill combos and permanent upgrades to get farther with each new run, so expect stages to switch things up with every attempt!

A Space for the Unbound
Now on Android after its initial launch on iOS, A Space for the Unbound is the kind of point-and-click adventure that will always appeal to me even at first glance. The pixel-art visuals add to the old-school charm, with a proper late 90s setting in rural Indonesia. And since it promises a poignant and magical narrative about two high school students set during the end of the world, I am all for it.
The slice-of-life approach appeals to the YA-lover in me too, which is why I'm working on a review for this right now. There are themes surrounding anxiety and depression, though, so buyer beware.

JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Golden Spirit
As if the anime series isn't popular enough already, JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Golden Spirit is here to offer an officially licensed mobile experience for fans of the franchise to dive into this week! You'll get to relive iconic scenes from across the different generations within this new RPG, with the Joestar bloodline's golden spirit as your main drive through it all.
With the Live2D visuals and the familiar soundtrack crafted by Yugo Kanno from the "Stardust Crusaders" and "The JoJoLands" OSTs, it's safe to say that it's pretty faithful to the source material from aesthetics alone. Combat is a Stand-filled affair, of course, with real-time action and a dynamic weather system to boot.

The Last Mission
And I suppose it's only fitting to end this week's list with The Last Mission, but really, any time anyone ever says it's "one last ride" in movies, things don't ever turn out well. In this case, you'll be leading the titular final mission across space to defend the Earth from an alien invasion, because there are endless waves of them and there's only one of you. You get to upgrade and strategise your fleets, though, to make sure you've got a fighting chance, with randomised boons you can pick to get stronger as you go along.
As you optimise your builds, enemies also evolve as you progress, so you'll need to find the most powerful loadouts and most tactical resource allocations to survive. Humanity's future is at stake, after all.
