App Army Assemble: Lost Twins 2 - "Does this puzzle adventure create a sense of childlike wonder?"

Lost Twins 2 is another puzzler that focuses on the oddly familiar gaming concept of two siblings trying to reunite with one another. It evoked some childlike wonder in Catherine when she played it recently, so we decided to hand it over to our App Army to see if it sparked the same feelings.

Lost Twins 2 is a beautifully animated puzzle-style adventure game where you control two characters individually, tackling platforming sections by ultimately working together to complete each one. You can see that a lot of love and thought went into making this adventure, with some really uniquely designed levels that can literally be manoeuvred to help you along the path to reaching your goal.

While I love a good challenge, I liked the relaxed feeling of not having any enemies or timers to get in the way of just taking everything in. I can’t stress enough how much I adored the wonderfully created atmospheric world here. This is the type of game that shines on mobile touchscreens thanks to its intuitive controls. Highly recommended!

Lost Twins 2 is the story of Ben and Aby, who get separated at the beginning of the game. I played the game as a solo player; you can control both characters, and you can switch between them with a simple tap on the screen. In each level, the objective is to collect three parts of a phoenix to move to the next one. The game features soothing background music, cartoony graphics, gorgeous animations, and a calming overall presentation, although there is no voice-over. 

As you progress, you can also unlock in-game artwork & go for it to get more challenge during levels. However, there is no option to zoom in and view the artwork in greater detail. The screen-shuffle mechanism works really well, where a single scene turns into multiple pieces. You shuffle, reshuffle and connect these pieces with each other to complete the puzzles and move on in the game. The puzzles are relatively easy, which makes the game feel calm, relaxing, and fun to play during your free time. The game also supports up to 120 FPS.

Interesting, good-looking platformer puzzler that has you shifting room combinations and switching back and forth between two characters in order to unite them at the end of a challenge. Simple mechanics- no really challenging moments that will frustrate you. The hand-drawn graphics are pleasing, the controls easy, and the puzzles not too challenging. Really a fun experience. Do the free trial, then pick up the rest of the game.

Lost Twins 2 is a platform puzzle adventure. You play as two twins who must negotiate the three-screen levels for both of them to reach a Phoenix. As well as the usual things you can do in such games, like moving boxes and stepping on pads, you also need to rearrange the screens of the level to complete the puzzles.

This is a good-looking game with hand-drawn graphics that look like a cartoon. There is no time limit, so you can take your time working out what to do, and the touch screen controls are not much of a hindrance. Recommended.
