Neo Cab is a survival game with branching storylines that's heading to Apple Arcade

Neo Cab is a survival game where you play as the last human driver in a world full of automated cabs. It's the first game from the developer Chance Agency and it'll be available through the upcoming Apple Arcade subscription service. It will also be coming to Nintendo Switch at some stage too.

Neo Cab will see you play as Lina, the last human driver. Lina's in search of a missing friend who disappeared in mysterious circumstances so she heads to Los Ojos to try and discover what happened. The narrative will have various branching storylines that depend on the choices you make when talking to passengers.

You need to keep your job so whilst you search for information you will have to pick up passengers. The survival aspect of the game comes through managing three different areas – cash, star rating and emotional health. Maintaining a good balance will mean that you keep your job long enough to find her missing friend.

The game is narratively driven and each of the passengers you pick up will have their own stories to discover. You'll have choices to decide how you interact with them and will have to make sure you choose carefully so that your three main stats are not too negatively affected.

To fit in with the future theme the developers have gone with a neon-soaked, cell-shaded art style which looks excellent. They've also hired Obfusc to do the music who has previously worked on games such as Monument Valley and House of Cards. So from a presentation perspective, it's certainly a tantalising prospect.

Neo Cab will be available as part of Apple Arcade's line up, so you can expect it to be available sometime soon. For a full list of the games available on the service, check out our list.
