Neko Golf, an anime-inspired golf game, goes live later this month

Colopl Inc has just announced that its anime-styled golf game, Neko Golf is releasing on mobile later this month. It offers players classic golf action with competition and solo modes, featuring a tonne of anime-inspired characters. Check out the trailer below.

In Neko Golf, players will enter a vibrant anime world where they can participate in lifelike golf games with extremely easy controls. The game will cater to both competitive and casual players. The Golf Tour allows players to compete against one another in a tournament, whereas the Battle Mode puts golfers up against a high score.

And if those kinds of challenges sound stressful, Enjoy Mode is perfect as it doesn't focus on winning or losing. When away from competitions, the solo driving range is perfect for practice. Instructor Chaco is of course always there to help with this treasure trove of tutorials.

Each player will have to make a choice between five golfers, each of which has its own strengths and weaknesses, allowing them to pick one according to play style. Of course, they can be customized as well by giving them new clothing and accessories as they make their way onto the golf course.

Since the game does draw inspiration from anime, it can’t be a run-of-the-mill golf game, can it? Players will find throughout the track, multicoloured airships and statues of racoon-like creatures. The courses themselves will be full of weird obstacles like a cat’s paw, sand traps, and ever-changing weather conditions.
